Bouncing Our Blues Away! Reading in Our Cozy Nook!

My students need to get excited about reading! They need LOTS of movement and transitioning in kindergarten! I LOVE using positive reinforcement for behavior and for encouraging students to meet personal goals!

My Students

My students are very dynamic. They are eager to learn and LOVE their classroom. I know they would love to have a cute, inviting reading nook filled with pillows, lamps, books.

Kindergarteners need LOTS of transitioning and brain breaks throughout the day so I KNOW the mini trampoline would be a GREAT addition to our classroom.

This would be a super reward for students who make good choices and I love the fact that it is aerobic!

Kids get enough time in front of electronics at home! I would much rather reward them with something that is keeping them active!

My Project

We all know that we cannot expect kindergarten students to sit still and quiet for long periods of time! I try hard to give them lots of transition times so that when it's time to work and focus they are able to do that. I would LOVE a mini trampoline in my classroom to use as positive reinforcement for behavior. I would also love a disco ball to add along with the trampoline. These items would be useful for recognition as we reach our personal goals as well.

I would love to spruce up a reading nook to get them excited about reading!

I plan on hanging a corner curtain rod with cute alphabet curtains for our nook. I will accent with lamps, pillows, books... Why not make learning FUN??? Thank you!
