My Students

Take a peek at our classroom to see students who are excited to learn new things and tackle new projects! I want my 4th graders to learn as much as they possibly can during this year. Right now we are stuck because we have the challenge of sitting still and staying focused.

I have a great group of students that come from very diverse backgrounds.

This group of 4th graders comes in to school very excited everyday and eager to tell me what is going on in their lives. Several of the students are trying to figure out where they fit in and what subjects they actually enjoy. In my class we have athletes, dancers, musicians, writers, video gamers, bakers, and TV watchers! Our school has children of many walks of life. Some students come from poverty and look forward to getting healthy meals at school and some speak languages other than English at home. The one common thing all of the students have is that they are kind to each other and have the desire to learn.

My Project

Have you ever sat at a meeting, lecture, conference, or just at home for too long and realized that all you wanted to do was get up and walk around? Do you ever tap your feet/hands or just feel the need to move? This is a struggle that my students go through daily. A lot of the work we do requires them to sit at their desks. By getting the Sunny Health & Fitness Anti-Burst Gym Balls my class will be able to stay at their seats but still have the chance to move. My students cannot control the fact that it is hard to sit still but these balls can give them an outlet to use some of their energy while still following class rules.

Please help me give my students a higher chance of success!

Something as small as a stability ball can greatly influence how their days and year goes. By being able to focus more throughout the day all of the students have a better chance at grasping the concepts that are being taught. Let's make these students successful in 4th grade as well as in their future!
