When a parent asked if we had something like the Kinnebar foot swing available for their child, I was sad to say we do not in my school. Most students with ADHD or other neurodiversity's need extra movement to help them learn and focus. When I read the comments and testimonies I knew I wanted to help my students succeed as much as those I read about.
This foot swing allows students to have the added ability to focus on their learning and get movement in with their choice of bouncing or swinging.
We are always looking for ways to help students learn and focus. Using things like flexible seating and movement breaks, that don't always help our most struggling learners.
We all have a different way of learning. I want to help these youngest learners understand theirs before they get too frustrated and do not like school or learning because it is too hard to focus. These swings will allow me to provide my students choice and agency to help themselves while learning what works in their learning brains.
