Our room has a diverse group of learners. The learning backgrounds of each student varies, as well as the support they receive from home. Our school is in a rural, farming community. My room has students who are academically at a kindergarten level to a 4th-grade level. This variance can create quite a challenge.
Having choices for the students who learn differently is one of my goals.
Students learn best when they are comfortable and want to learn. The attention of each student is also very different. Offering a variety of ways for my students to learn is what is best for them.
My Project
In Room 106, students are allowed to work anywhere as long as they are working. They have choices of sitting on the floor or their tables. I would like to offer them more comfortable choices at completing their work at their tables. .
Offering stools, wiggle stools, floor chairs, and chair mats will offer more comfort and flexible seating choices as my students as they complete their work at their tables.

Offering them a variety of ways to complete work at their tables, yet still get their wiggles out is helpful. Sitting in a chair all day to complete work can be difficult for a 6-7 year olds. Therefore, I'd love to give them the chance to learn sitting in different ways.
