Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My middle school students spend five hours a week in our beautiful school garden. I would like to teach them more about the botany of plants in our garden through drawing and journaling.
To create extra enthusiasm and buy-in about this botany study unit, I would like to offer my students the opportunity to use high quality colored pencils, pens and markers, and to have access to vibrant botanical art books.
My students love art, and they love books that teach them new drawing and art skills. These materials and books will provide a wonderful connection to our botany unit and make science learning exciting, inspiring and colorful!
