My Project

I'm not sure at what point school stopped being fun and started feeling like work for my students. But, it is clear that, for many of them, by the time they make it to me in high school their love for learning has long lost its shine. My goal is to reverse this sentiment so that kids look forward to coming into my classroom to learn.

Games such as Bop-It and a Magic 8 Ball will help me create a classroom environment where learning itself becomes a game the students WANT to play.

Between English, Theatre, and Technical Theatre classes, I serve students with a variety of educational, emotional, and social needs. These accessible games will also help me foster an inclusive environment where all students can be a part of the team.

By turning these classic games into a tool for education, students will look forward to coming to class and showing off their knowledge or taking a risk to participate in low-risk group activities. Help me make learning fun again by contributing to this project.
