Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I currently teach in a Title I school located in a low socioeconomic area of Orlando, Florida. 100 percent of students receive free breakfast, lunch, and super. Most of our scholars are English as a Second language learners. I currently have students from different countries, different formal education experiences, and different types of learning. Many are coming to this country after having traumatic experiences in their home country and are living with family members other than their parents. Regardless of these circumstances, my students are hardworking and eager to learn. Our school and our classroom is a happy, safe, loving, and important place for them.

My Project

This VersaTiles Math Classroom set will provide my students with the tools necessary to help them grasp the concept of lessons being thought. They will be able to work individually, with a partner or group and whole class as they sharpen their understanding of each concept. It will also allow each student to participate with their own manipulative s and help to fill lost gaps that they had to experience last year.

These will help in creating a fun learning environment.

It would also allow my students to achieve many great successes.
