Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from a lower-economic income community. This year, for the first time, our school will have a music program for students. As the teacher, I've been researching fun, engaging tools for children to learn the basics of music. Boomwhackers is a favorite among teachers everywhere. Having researched some on YouTube, I can see why. They are fun and creative instruments for kids to learn the basics of music.

I believe all children deserve a musical education.

It is an interdisciplinary way of learning that affects literacy, mathematics and the arts.

I want to present my students this year with a variety of instruments and learning tools. These Boomwhackers are sure to become a favorite among my students.
