Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All students want the experience of playing a musical instrument. Most believe it has to be in the traditional sense of the word "instrument". Boomwhackers are a fun and exciting way for many students to experience playing an instrument at one time, without sensory overload.

Boomwhackers will have many roles within the classroom.

First, they will help students develop fundamental musical concepts, such as pitch and rhythm. Next, they will provide students with an opportunity to be creative. Lastly, they will allow students to perform solo and within groups simulating what it means to be a solo performer, and the excitement of playing within an ensemble. This will enhance their experience during music class.
