Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at our school showed grit even through the pandemic! They are strong, loving and caring. They show empathy and understanding for each other and in the toughest times bring happiness! These second graders are excited to learn and want to become stronger readers, writers and mathematicians.

My Project

A lot of the students of Ms. Mullen's second grade classroom haven't been in the actual school building since they were in Kindergarten! In Kindergarten they began to read and in first grade they became stronger readers who learned to read virtually through online resources. I want to give students REAL books to hold and bring back that joy of reading. Through comic books and fun titles, students will become stronger, more confident readers because they won't feel like it is a chore! Help us entertain and grow our minds!
