I am a Kindergarten Teacher in a low-income Title One school. My classroom is an inclusion class including students who are developmentally delayed and ESL (English Language Learners) students.
Having books available and accessible to students builds on their language development. Currently, students look through baskets to choose a book and I want to be able to display books based on our unit of study. Students enjoys looking at story pictures and discussing books in the reading center throughout the day.
I need one accessible bookstand to provide reading choices for students through the day. Students can choose their favorite book after completing their work as this will increase students ability to learn new words. The bookstand has 5 easy-to-reach shelves for the students. I will also let students take their favorite book home and parents will have the opportunity to read to their child!
You will make it possible for my students and their families to enjoy reading and working together as a family. This will allow family time together as they read great books to their children.
