Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Give my students novels that they can relate too and get excited about.

My students are high school students that qualify for special education services in the area of reading.

They come from low income households where a high percentage speak on Spanish. There is also a high percentage of Native American students. Many of my students are also on free or reduced lunch.

My Project

These novels are meant to excite my students to read. They are very reluctant readers who must have books to study that the stories relate to their personal lives. These novels are also motivational novels that center around self identity which students tend to have difficulty with.

Fill our class with books and audio books that will inspire a love for reading.

Help us get books that relate to students' lives and motivate them to better their skills in the area of reading.
