My Students

Our students often search for books that they can relate to. They want to read about characters that are like themselves.

Our school is located near a large urban city and we are in a high poverty area.

Our minority students want to read about characters that are like themselves. It is often difficult to get them interested in reading. Our school values literacy and we set high standards for our students.

My Project

The set of books, named Urban Underground, is a great resource for our students. They can relate to the characters and the issues that are represented. Our students are asking for these type of books. These books also present moral issues and challenges that our students face every day.

You can make a difference in the lives of our students by donating to this project.

Help us provide these books that our students will enjoy reading. They are well-written and encourage our students to read and reach their reading goals.
