Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the sweetest group of 4th graders out there! We have been online together for a majority of the year, but just got reunited together in April! They are always so kind and are always eager to ask questions that extend what we are learning! They make me laugh everyday and I am just so grateful for them!

My Project

With our students having been completely digital for a majority of the year, and now having returned to in person learning, they have been eager to get their hands on paper copy books They have read through what has interested them so far in Epic! and listened to hundreds of stories on StorylineOnline, but with our return to in person learning, I find myself lacking books that interest them.

As a 4th year teacher, and a 1st year teacher in the state of Nevada, a lot of my books were hand-me-downs from teachers past.

I think my kids and I would benefit from books on topics they enjoy, as well as ones they can physically hold in their hands! We would love it if you help us rejuvenate our classroom library in order to restore my students love and interest in books! Thank you in advance for your generosity!
