My Students

I teach an amazing group of 3rd graders in Northwest Las Vegas! I am so lucky to be their teacher. I get to greet 23 adorable faces every morning on our Google Meets, and they teach me as much as I'm teaching them! They have just completed their third week of digital learning, and they have literally amazed me with their positive attitudes. My project will help enhance online learning for my students. I want to make this distance learning experience as positive as possible.

My awesome class is hardworking and enthusiastic about learning.

I believe they will be even more engaged if I can put some great books in their hands. I would like to do novel studies with my students! If I am able to purchase novels for them, I will hand deliver books to each of their homes. What a surprise it will be when I knock on their doors and hand them books that we will read together. We are currently holding classes virtually, like so many others across the country. I want to bring the best possible tools into my virtual classroom! These students need and deserve everything that I can give them.

My Project

I plan to do novel studies with my 3rd grade students! I’m so excited about this project because I really want to deliver books to my students’ homes so that they can actually have books in their hands! Roald Dahl is such a great author and I will be able to teach many lessons through a study of his books. We will be able to share in the adventure of learning while reading the same books together! Roald Dahl books bring so much fun and laughter that I’m certain my students will gain an even greater love for literature, and reading the books together will make it just that much sweeter!
