My Students

Our students are a diverse group of learners who speak several different languages. Although many come from different countries, we have come together to form an amazing community. My students are a very fun, loving, and very active group of kids. Our school is a lower income school with almost half of our students who receive free or reduced-price lunch. Although my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom, they still come to school with smiles on their faces and ready to learn.

My Project

We may not know what our classrooms will look like this year, but we do know we need to help our students to feel comfortable and safe. I am requesting books such as Lucy's Mask, and What is Social Distancing to help our students learn more about social distancing, masks, and germs. These books will be used to help establish a community of learners with safety in mind. I am also requesting an office chair will wheels so I can move it easily around the room so students can remain socially distant.
