Books to Support Thematic Units in Transition to Kindergarten

Help me give my students in my transition to kindergarten classroom books that support our thematic units and a place to display them! These will be placed in our classroom library during our thematic units throughout the year.

My Project

This is our second year at my school providing Transition to Kindergarten. This program is for 4-5 year olds whose families do not qualify or are unable to afford early childhood education programs. Throughout the year, we engage in several thematic units including Kindness, My Amazing Body, Seasons & Weather, Astronomy, North America, and Botany. Books that develop language and literacy skills are important!

Early language and literacy development is essential to successful readers!

We read many books provided by the district to develop early language and literacy skills. These books will further engage these young students. The books will be displayed in our class library during the specific thematic units for students to access.
