Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic English language learners that need a few tools to help them stay on track. 100% receive free lunch. They come to school full of enthusiasm, but they need even the most basic supplies, like pens, pencils, and notebooks. Many of them work after school to support their families.

Our school has a great track record of helping these students graduate with success; however, we have limited resources and do not always have the means to purchase essential tools and enhancements for our students to make them successful.

My Project

Our students work on portfolio projects to show how they need games to keep their brains active in free moments during the school day. They need stimulating biographies to inspire their research about famous figures in history. This will help as they prepare their research projects.

The students work independently during the last month of school preparing their presentations; they need targeted resources and activities to keep their minds fresh.

They are expected to take breaks during their hour long classes, to reflect a realistic work environment. Games are a great way to keep them stimulated while still giving their minds a relief from research.

Your donations will help stimulate the students' interests while giving them the flexibility during the day to make their projects all the better!
