Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have a great group of students. They come to school and want to learn. They always try their very best. Some of the students are still struggling with reading and are getting small groups to help close some of the reading gaps.
Knowing how to read is powerful.
Being a fluent reader will help students in all academic areas. I want a yearly membership to The Measured Mom website. The website has many different activities with the most important being printable decodable books for all ages. These books will be used in the classroom and sent home for homework. There are also many activities that go along with the book that will help the students practice the needed skills to become a fluent reader.
