Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This year, I inherited a classroom devoid of books! Please help me begin to build a strong library for my students ages 3-5 years. Science supports what educators have always known, that reading books supports more than just early literacy, but also expanding vocabulary, cognitive development helps develop empathy.

Having this project funded will begin to give my students the world at their fingertips, including cultural diversity, science, geography, literacy support, social emotional learning, art and appropriate representation.

This books will be generally accessible to students as well as used to support deeper units of study in geography and science.

Please join me in helping to build a strong classroom library for students who are not provided with funding for classroom books by the school district.
