My Project

A classroom library is a wonderful place. It helps students go to places they've never been and learn about things they've never seen. Classroom libraries are also a safe place in the that allow students to process their emotions. The books are selected from things that the students have expressed interest in and will help foster their love for reading.

With your help, I would like to enhance my classroom library and make it an even more welcoming place.

The lamp and bee string lights will be used to create a calming atmosphere where my students can relax. The bee plushies will provide comfort to the students as they read or as they process their emotions. The binder clips will be used to help students calm down / process their emotions. Each student will have their own binder ring with cards that help them specifically - strategies that work for them, pictures of things that calm them down, and sentence starters to encourage them to express their feelings.
