My Project

Life in a digital age can make it harder for kids to learn about the importance of manners, kindness, honesty, and other important character traits. Students hear us talk about these concepts, but often they are not able to connect the concepts to their actual experiences.

The books I have requested will provide my students with more obvious applications.

They will learn to keep trying when we read "The Little Engine That Could". Reading "Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch" will show them the effects of kindness and encouragement.

All the books I have selected will be used in small group settings to illustrate character traits to children of various ages.
