My Project

Visuals are everything when it comes to teaching English language learners. And children as young as 5 and 6 need visual support to help keep them engaged in learning as well as give the content vocabulary they are learning a sense of realism.

Beautiful books bring learning to life for English language learners.

Kindergarten ELL students are learning the alphabet, numbers and colors in English every day in my classroom. Having beautifully illustrated picture books will give students a real life connection to the vocabulary they are learning in my classroom.

The books I am requesting will not only help support the vocabulary development of English language kindergarteners, but will also allow them to develop a love for books and reading.
