Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to bring engaging, relevant books into my 8th-grade classroom to support dystopian book clubs and promote independent reading. Students will explore and discuss real-world issues like equity, power, and resilience through titles in this popular genre. I also host “Book Trailer Tuesdays” to spark interest by showing short, high-interest book trailers featuring a variety of genres. To build excitement, I raffle off copies of the featured books so one student per class can check it out.

All requested books will become part of our classroom library, giving students access to meaningful, choice-driven reading opportunities every day.
