This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students get so excited whenever I order books. I thought it would be fun to get their input. I did a book tasting, where we went through and read portions of stories. My students were able to decide what interested them and what didn't. These are the books they came back with. The excitement in their eyes about reading made my heart almost burst! I want to give them books that they had a part in choosing to read in our classroom library. Many of these books are just the next books in a series were already had. My students have read all the books we had in that series and are hooked! Nothing better than showing students how fun a book can be and even more so than a screen.
