My Project

My students are curious, thoughtful, and passionate readers who thrive when they find books they can truly connect with. They love diving into stories that reflect their experiences, dreams, and cultures, as well as exploring new perspectives. Many of my students come from diverse backgrounds and have unique interests, but they often face challenges in finding books that feel relevant to their lives. Our classroom is a space where we celebrate individuality, and I want our reading time to mirror that diversity by offering chapter books that ignite curiosity and foster a love for reading.

To help my students grow as readers, I am requesting a class set of an engaging chapter book and three additional small-group sets of books tailored to their interests.

These books will allow students to explore themes like friendship, perseverance, identity, and adventure while improving their reading skills.

With the class set, we’ll participate in shared reading activities that spark deep discussions and build a sense of community around reading. The small-group book sets will give students a chance to choose books based on their interests, from exciting mysteries to heartfelt stories about family and culture. By connecting the stories we read to their own lives, students will deepen their comprehension and develop a lifelong love for reading.
