Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting social-emotional books for my students. What I love most about my students is their resilience, curiosity, and willingness to try. During our sessions together, I see them working hard to understand their emotions, build their confidence, and develop the skills they need to navigate life's challenges. I admire their bravery in expressing their feelings, learning from their mistakes, and showing kindness to themselves and others. Social emotional books can help play a powerful role in their journey as they will have relatable stories, new perspectives, and practical tools for self-regulation. The books I am requesting will help them feel seen and understood.

The books will create opportunities for meaningful conversations, allowing my students to explore their emotions, practice empathy, and develop the self-awareness they need to thrive.

They will learn new skills they can utilize to manage their emotions, build strong friendships, and express themselves in healthy ways.
