My Students

Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with many receiving free lunch. This is a Title I school where many students are receiving extra help with Math and Reading to try to get them close to where they should be for their grade.

These 8-9 year olds are very eager to learn but just don't always know how.

They are full of life and excitement! School is the place where they can go to feel safe during the day.

My Project

The students in my class need more activities and books that will help inspire them to be their best! All of the materials that are listed here will do exactly that! The goal is to help all of my students be successful in the areas that will help them throughout their lives.

Help my students be challenged at school and excited to learn again!

Math, Reading, and Science are all areas that a lot of students are easily discouraged during. Many students are told that these subjects are hard and they will never be good at them. By introducing hands on activities that allow students to be creative more of them will realize that they can be good and successful in these areas. If even one more student is reached for a skill that is a step in the right direction. We will be able to do small group math practice with the quiz cards, alternative end of unit assessments building with legos, and have examples of great authors with our new books!
