Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I currently teach at the same school where I was once a student. This community and this school hold a special place in my heart. My students come from low-income families, and all students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Regardless of their background, my students have so much potential and are just waiting for the opportunity to shine.

I would love to be able to be equipped with new and creative ways to motivate and encourage all of my students to reach for the stars.

I want to foster a love for learning, so my students become lifelong learners. By learning new strategies that authentically engage students in their everyday learning, my students will come to love school and learning about just anything. They are the future world changers!

My Project

Books are so important in the 21st century. With all the digital changes in our daily lives, it’s nice to still hold a book in your hand.

Books can set the stage and inspire greatness.

I love adding a variety of books with different topics. Students can always look forward to a great read, where we can have fun while learning. These books will be used throughout the year to encourage acceptance, a growth mindset, and motivate students to be the change.

I will also be using the HDMI cables to use learning apps on the phone or tablet to easily access apps and books for our online students. In addition I am still working on collecting a classroom set of Merge Cubes.
