My Students

"Mrs. I, can I go to the listening center today?" This is a question that is music to my ears. My students can't wait to have a turn at the listening center, in my classroom.

My classroom is full of 27 4th-graders, that are English Language Learners, and former ELLs, who are eager to read and speak in English.

My students enjoy listening to read aloud everyday, and are excited for it to be their turn at the listening center.

My Project

My students would be able to use our newest books, in our listening center, on a daily basis. Each and everyday, we have independent reading time, set aside for 30-40 minutes of quiet reading time. Listening to books on cd, helps with fluency and accuracy. Being able to listen to a story while reading, will help my students who are English Language Learners, learn how to read fluently.

Your donation will help foster my current students' love of reading.

The book sets on cd will enhance my classroom listening center, and give my students more of a variety, to keep them interested.
