My Students

I cannot believe we only have 1 month left of the school year! The coolest part about that, is that I have seen my students improve so much throughout the year! Being that this classroom style is a bit different than a typical classroom, I will have the ability to truly individualize each child's education. With that said, I am looking to add tools and materials that will help me design and create the most efficient classroom possible for my students, for next school year!

Being that I teach a bridged, special education class, my students are on different academic levels.

We are in need of reading material that caters to the kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade level.

While I have furniture and access to brand new technology in my classroom, there are some pieces to the puzzle that are missing, in order to make the room a wonderful learning environment. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!

My Project

I have spent the past 2 years teaching in a 12:1:1 classroom for grades K/1/2. While it has been the most rewarding and eye-opening time of my career, I have learned about the different needs of my students and that they need more interactive and accessible tools to support the current curriculum. I found myself making new games, finding new books, tools, and supplies for every subject, multiple times a week, in order to support my students.

This year, while the kids made strides in reading, I found that we are in tremendous need of new reading material for the students.

I am frequently printing paper books for my students, because we do not have enough leveled books.

Being that the kids are on such different reading levels, we are in need of Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade reading materials.

The most exciting thing for me, has been seeing my students start to read and fall in love with reading! I want to be able to provide them with fun, exciting, and appropriate reading content!
