My Students

My 3rd grade students are fun, loving, extremely motivated, and really love learning. They come from diverse backgrounds and love learning from each other on a daily basis. If you were to walk into my classroom, you would witness how hardworking they are! Over the past 6 years, my students' enthusiasm, excitement, and overall love for learning has been the driving force behind the love I have for my job. Seeing the lightbulb go off in their heads when they learn something new really makes this job worthwhile. My students are at all different levels of ability, have all different learning styles, but all share a love for reading

With their already evident love for reading, my students would truly benefit from having some updated books in our classroom library.

This will help build and foster their reading comprehension skills.

My Project

Building a new classroom library for my students has always been something important to me. Reading is essential for success not only in school, but in life.

With this project, I will be able to foster my students' reading comprehension by providing them with leveled books that meet their needs and interests!

They will have exposure to both new books and old classics to expand their growing love for reading. They show extreme interest in realistic fiction books, where they can connect themselves to the characters and put themselves inside the story.
