Books Needed for My Little Ones

My students need multiple copies of each of the books listed. They will be using them for read alouds and partner reading.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. C.'s classroom raised $594

This project is fully funded

I am a kindergarten teacher working with at risk students who all need books to read. I am starting a read aloud program that will help them to be better story tellers and have a sense of story, which they all lack.

I am trying to implement a read aloud program that will let my students be storytellers. The children are in desperate need of oral language skills. By allowing them to hear these Read Alouds over and over, I am training them to be able to retell. They will use the multiple copies to "read" and retell the story to themselves and each other.

By getting multiple copies of these books the students will be able to have a choice of books to read. It is essential to be able to give them the opportunity to choose books that are familiar to them in order for them to retell and "read" the story.

I am asking for your help to enable these little kindergarteners to have a better start to school. They haven't gotten a lot of experience with reading so far and this would help build their love for books and learning!!
