This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am the family coordinator for a Head Start school. All of our families are at the poverty level or below. I am host a family literacy night and would like to gift all of my students a new book. I was able to give them a book at Christmas and they were so proud. I would love to be able for them to get another this spring.

Our goal is to instill a lifelong love of learning and reading in our students.

We are building the foundation of their learning and want them to be excited to continue. We also want to encourage the parents to support their children in school.
