My Students

My students are a fantastic bunch of kids!
They are all eager to learn and excel! The books I am requesting will help a GREAT deal! I am in an urban district in New Jersey and our budget is dwindling every year. We are in need of books at a kindergarten level.
My Project
These books will be used during guided reading time. Guided reading is done on a daily basis and is extremely vital in teaching literacy. Guided reading gives students the chance to apply the strategies they already know to new text. Having correct leveled readers helps my kinder kids' confidence and provides the ultimate goal of being an independent reader! They feel comfortable reading a book that is on their level and still helps them to be challenged.
These books are such an important piece to the puzzle of learning.
I can not stress that enough. This is my first time requesting assistance and I hope you understand how passionate I am about my children. Please help me help my kinder kids.
