Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I like to have an extensive library in my classroom. This year I have so many kids who just love reading and constantly have a book in their hands. It is important to me to have books that represent my students.

I want to provide them with diverse books including many from underrepresented authors to expand their reading.

These books will also help my students see themselves in the pages of a book. They will be able to relate to characters who are just like them. Some of the books connect to the book Wonder which we read for a core literature unit. These other books will help keep the excitement and interest that they begin by reading Wonder.
