My Students

I have 13, three and four year old, students in my class. We have 11 girls and two boys. We are an at-risk program located in Richmond. Many students come from low-income families and may have challenges to face at home; however, they come to school ready to learn!

Our students are curious, excited, and hard working!

They all learn in different ways, so we are constantly thinking of new strategies to teach them and get them ready for Kindergarten!

My Project

These books will provide great experiences for our children during in-person and virtual learning. We love to read books in large and small groups to our students. Our classroom library is a cozy area of our room that allows our students to become engaged in the stories on their own. With new exciting books, students will love heading over to the library center!

I chose informative, fun, and educational books that will grab the attention of our preschoolers.

They will allow us to work on comprehension skills, reading skills, and aid in our different themes each month. We can use them to extend our learning and enhance our lessons!
