My Project
As a teacher dedicated to fostering a love of reading and learning in my students, I have seen firsthand how crucial it is for every child to have access to books that resonate with their interests and developmental needs. Unfortunately, many of my students, especially those in grades 5 through 8, struggle with reading comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency. They often feel disconnected from traditional, grade-level texts, which can lead to frustration and a lack of confidence.
To address this challenge, I am seeking your support to provide a diverse range of books for my students.
The books I’ve selected are designed specifically for students who need extra help in improving their reading skills. They include high-interest books, graphic novels, and series that are engaging and appropriate for struggling readers. The goal is to give my students the opportunity to experience success in reading by offering them materials that are both accessible and exciting.
When students are given books that are within their grasp, it opens up a world of possibilities. They develop confidence, improve fluency, and ultimately begin to see the connection between reading and success in school and life. By providing these books, you’re not just giving them access to reading materials—you’re giving them the confidence to believe in themselves as learners.
