This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

At school, every year, more students are interested in studying Spanish as a foreign language. Spanish classes are taught to non-Spanish speakers but with the aim of focusing and adapting to the linguistic needs of each student.

Middle School students are a privileged public when it comes to learning a foreign language.

They when

they learn the language of another culture, they accept the other way of perceiving the world; and when students have a positive impression of the other culture, this can increase and enrich the learning process. For students, their experiences in the classroom become very important. So the teacher and the teaching methods occupy a unique and powerful position to influence the formation of a positive attitude and motivation that students are forming about the culture and language they are learning.

My Project

One key way to involve students in their learning is to ensure the material speaks to them. Quality instructional materials are essential in teaching . Every student in my classroom learns differently. So it's important to recognize that differentiated instruction isn't just for helping students with special needs—it's the best way to engage all learners.

Without adequate and appropriate resources, Spanish speaking students are expected to attain impossible goals.

We, as a class, need adequate and appropriate instructional resources, without these, students are not given a fair opportunity at academic success. Without an adequate amount of Spanish resources,

there may be a lack of rigor in the academic demands, influencing students to have a trifling sense of motivation to succeed.
