This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a brand new second grade teacher, and I would love the opportunity to provide my young learners with books that will help develop their social emotional learning skills with stories that will help them relate to their own life experiences and how they all bring value into our classroom. These hand picked books will give them tools for critical thinking and provide life lessons in being kind and respectful. Building this Library will be beneficial every school year as I can continue to implement them each year. It would mean a lot to my class to have access to books they find enjoyable and can relate to. Please help a new teacher expand my library and young learner’s reading fluency skills for years to come!
