Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is full of eager and enthusiastic kindergarteners who are learning how to read. They love to listen to stories, do math, sing songs, learn letters, learn words and play. This is their first time in school and they are trying to be successful despite of the global pandemic.

My Project

These kindergarten students are new to in-person learning and need real life experience with books. To learn book features, directionality, word to word correspondence and many more skills.

The students in the class are English language learners who are developing their literacy skills and need books in the classroom library.

They will be able to read the words in class and take the books home to practice. They will write and draw about what they read and share ideas and feelings about the stories. We need to have options and choices to meet all of the students interests.
