My Project

The Meet the Artist books and other books in this project will help my students learn more about the artists they are studying during their art class. Students get so excited when we start a new lesson or unit and they want to dive right into art making. Teaching only 45 minutes a week leaves only a short time for student's to get art history lessons.

Students are so curious to know everything about the artists and these books will open their eyes to many of the answers to their questions along with a better understanding of the time period each artist lived in and their background.

I will be able to use these books to read aloud while students are working and students will be able to access the books in my library when they finish early. I am so lucky to have over 600 amazing artists that love art making and learning new things.
