This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my students are coming from the remote parts of Brazil, Haiti, Asia, and Central America.
Help my students improve their literacy skills!
The majority of them are coming from farmers' families and have had limited education, resources, and access to education. I would love for my students to have an opportunity to develop a love for reading and explore their cultural background through reading books in their native languages. It is a known fact that developing your own native language skills helps you in learning a new language and my students are very excited to have a chance to read the books in their own language. Please help us to build a bilingual library in the classroom!
