My Students

I view my classroom as a learning community with all of my students being equal and valuable members. I see my students inspiring and motivating each other to make this community more collaborative, challenging, and invigorating. Furthermore, they push each other forward through genuine support and compassion for their peers. These attributes and actions are all so exciting for me to witness as their teacher, and I am continually impressed by the motivation, curiosity, and dedication they demonstrate on a daily basis.

My Project

Having a classroom library will benefit my students as it will be a great resource for them to use to find new books. Offering them a variety of genres is important so that students can find books that they will truly enjoy reading. My current classroom library is limited, so I would really appreciate your help in adding to it!

Throughout the year, students will use their personal reading books to learn and practice new reading skills.

I've found that it is helpful for students to like the books they're reading, as it makes reading more interesting and practicing reading skills more enjoyable. This is why I believe it is important to be able to have a wide variety of books in my classroom library.
