This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I will be moving from 3rd to kindergarten in September and I would love the support in helping me stock up my classroom with materials needed for K. In this project I am asking for the "On Strike" Series. Many kindergartners in the area I teach are unaware of how to properly use materials such as pencils, scissors and crayons. These books teach the children how to properly use and respect our classroom materials in a fun way. I plan to read one a day at the beginning of the year and have a discussion about each supply. I am also asking for primary writing notebooks. I find these are much easier for a young learner to use instead of a regular marble notebook. It has room for an illustration and uses primary writing lines to assist in their letter/sentence writing.
These books would make a great addition to my kindergarten classroom!
