My Project

My elementary students are setting a course for hope and helpfulness. We have spent quite a bit of time exploring responsibility, respect, positive attitudes, honesty, and kindness. It's time to take our learning to the next level by putting those character traits into action.

We want to build relationships, develop resilience and empathy, and prevent bullying.

The books I have requested are part of a bigger, skill-building curriculum that focuses on connection by promoting kindness, bullying prevention, and listening skills.

These books have stories that reinforce the learning goals of the program. Reading the books during the lessons will provide a way for students to "see the concepts" in action and discuss how they can use those skills, too.
