My Students

Many of my students love to read, but many of my students struggle with reading.

My students love to learn.

It is the beginning of the year so I am just getting to know my new group of students. Reading is one of their favorite subjects and I want to keep it this way. Science is also becoming a subject that we all look forward to. Our school is an open concept school and students learn collaborate and cooperate from day one.

My Project

The leveled libraries that I have requested in this project would help my group of readers that are struggling. The leveled libraries that I have requested would provide high-interest fiction and nonfiction book choices at an appropriate independent reading level. It is very important for readers to read and read and read at their independent reading level. We currently don’t have enough high-interest books at these levels (P &Q). Having these leveled libraries of high-interest books would really help my students grow as readers.

If these leveled libraries are donated my students will have high-interest fiction and nonfiction books at their reading level.

Right now my struggling readers don't have a lot of choices and the libraries in this project would give them more choice and independence.
