My Students

One word that describes the students is determined. These group of children stop at nothing! Many of them even attend school 7 days a week in order to stay on top of their studies.

Our wonderful school serves a large immigrant community.

With that being said, most parents have to work long hours in order to provide for their families. This results in students spending longer hours in the school building. Many students consider our school building their second home.

My Project

A strong classroom library is one of the most important parts of a successful classroom. This is where students have the most choice and the most fun! They can get lost in the world of books and at the same time further develop their reading skills! Unfortunately, our classroom library lacks books and students do not have a large selection to choose from.

The donations for this project would give students a new and more exciting library experience and make it more interesting for them to complete their reading logs for homework.

Many students are re-reading the same book in order to complete their reading logs, this makes reading homework very repetitive for them.

The cubbie tubs will be used as storage for the books. This will help organize the books in our library.
