My Students

This is my ninth year teaching. As a teacher in Las Vegas, I work with a variety of students from all different ability levels and backgrounds.

My students are full of energy and are always ready to learn!

They love hands-on activities and are always engaged in any activity that we do! They are a group that is really full of life and are proving to be true sponges as the year goes on.

My students love literature and enjoy it being tied into their learning in any way possible!

We use books for math, literacy, social studies, and science. I am always amazed at their desire to dig deeper into the text.

My Project

These books will continue to enhance the literacy-rich classroom that I strive to achieve every day. Over the years I have found that kids are seeing less and less physical books. I want to make sure that when they come to school they have access to them, as well as have a chance to hear someone read and hold a book. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. The books are also aligned with our current reading program.

The best way to increase a students' reading achievement is to immerse them in books.

My students love reading and hearing me read, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
