My Students

My students are in temporary housing. I am the community coordinator and I support students and their families with housing, benefits, and all other needs.

While many of my students are experiencing displacement, homelessness, doubled up, ​etc.

many of them are still doing well in class and are resilient enough not to let those circumstances stop them from being all they can be.

My students are special needs and are diagnosed with different mental, educational, or social disabilities. They still work just as hard as the students in general education.

My Project

Hello! This project is very special to me. With everything going on in the world, the children are most certainly our future! I would like to supply children with books that will assist them with their self confidence and build confidence in the community around them. I would like to create reading circles for our students to discuss their own image and how they can use their image to make changes in the world. We also have community building games to ensure the children are able to get along with each other and others around them. Change definitely starts from within and I would like to instill values in our students in order for them to change the world!
